April 4-6 National Ratings: GMA what?

Looks like people from the rest of Luzon (outside Mega Manila), Visayas and Mindanao only have one channel in mind: ABS-CBN. It has been months, if not years, that we haven't seen any GMA show getting the No.1 spot in primetime. At least in Daytime, there are the Pacquaio fights.

GMA should sponsor a Pacquaio fight every night for them to steal the No.1 spot from ABS-CBN. LOL.

Crazy Ratings from AGB: Agua Bendita still No.1 but Diva is already No.2; ASAP and Party Pilipinas tie at No.1!

The PBB ex-housemates' Isla episode on Your Song did very well last Sunday, so did The Buzz. However, ASAP had to share the the top position with Party Pilipinas. Well, that's okay since both shows were pre-taped. We'll see next Sunday when the two shows do it LIVE!

Agua Bendita is still undisputed in the primetime race but Diva is doing an EXCEPTIONAL job, placing second last Tuesday.

But all in all, ABS-CBN still is the leader in Mega Manila.

Babe, I Love You: We Like!

Although we feared that this movie will be CORNY and uber shallow, we were relieved when we finally saw it. Yup there were some cheesy parts which we had to endure (but the rest of the audience quite enjoyed), we think the movie is worth the ticket price.

Nothing award-winning here though. Sam and Anne's acting were good. We are quite unsure about Sam's crying scenes though. We felt the emotion but it seemed awkward because of his rather funny pronunciation of Tagalog words. However, his good looks more than compensated for it. Believe us, Sam looked perfectly HOT and handsome in the movie. Girls in the cinema where we watched were so "kinilig" with his looks. Anne looked equally beautiful too.

The story is nice. You'll have to watch it to know what we mean.

Spoiler alert! We loved how the movie showed the plight of young Filipino adults. One who is well-educated and the other who had no college education. Anne's character is very common nowadays. She is a young woman who gets almost degrading jobs which require showing lots of skin and being extra-flirty to customers just to sell their products and even ending up sleeping with their customers for extra money.

I think it's how you see the movie that will affect how you judge it. We chose to look deeper into their characters in order to fully enjoy the movie and get something out of it. But if you don't think while you're watching, all you'll see is a usual romantic comedy.

Thoughts?

Agua Bendita was still No.1 in Mega Manila last Holy Wedneday!

Wow. What's happening with the primetime ratings? The daytime ratings are OK since EB, Wowowee and Showtime are still in the top 3. But the Primetime? Gosh. Panday Kids fell from No.1 or 2 to No.5 while Diva sky rocketed to the 2nd place from the lower half of the rankings. We personally like Diva. Regine's character is kinda cute although a lot of tings in the show are way too cheesy for us.

What do you think about these numbers? Are they still believable?

Here are the figures courtesy of abante-tonite and AGB:
Daytime:
1. Eat Bulaga 17%
2. Wowowee 14.7%
3. Showtime 14.4%
4. Daisy Siete 13.4%
5. Ina, Kasusuklaman Ba Kita? 13.2%

Primetime:
1. Agua Bendita 26.8%
2. Diva 26%
3. The Last Prince 25.8%
4. Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo 24.8%
5. Panday Kids 24.3%
Queen Seon Deok 24.3%
6. 24 Oras 22.3%
7. Habang May Buhay 21.8%
8. Rubi 20.6%
9. TV Patrol 19.5%
10. Showbiz News Ngayon 14.2%
First Time 14.2%

Which one do you like best? Gretchen looks so young on Metro. In fact too young to be realistic.

Sam and Sarah to pair up for a musical dramedy teleserye!

While we're happy that Sarah will again have a teleserye. We're kind of worried that this project will be similar to GMA's Diva (although we think Diva is similar to Sarah's Pangarap na Bituin in 2007).

Yikes ABS-CBN if that will happen. Sarah is such a great artist and it will be a shame if they give her a gaya-gaya serye.

We hope this project will be original and memorable. What can you say about this?

Iya Villania and Rachelle Ann Go to transfer to GMA and join Party Pilipinas?

Oh no. This better be false. As we all know now, many online websites have said that Rachelle Anne Go is moving to GMA. And now, pep has just tweeted that Iya Villania will also do the same!

Gosh. They are great talents, Rachelle in singing and Iya in dancing and hosting. We know they are very much needed in Party Pilipinas but..

Do they really want to go to a lower level? Sure, ASAP will be affected a little bit by their transfer but we think it will be more of Rachelle and Iya's loss. Laarni Lozada and other Star Magic talents can take the place of Rachelle and we know there lots of great dancers in ABS-CBN who can replace Iya.

Sad. But it will their transfer will surely add more life to the still weak Party Pilipinas.

Gretchen on MMK again; You like?

We do!
