Jamby angers Juday and fans!

Judy Ann finally reacted to Jamby Madrigal's admission that she regrets getting the services of a celebrity (Judy Ann) in her previous campaign.

Judy Ann said, “I was hurt. I was deeply hurt. Sa opinion ko po, sa sinabi niyang mga words na she regrets getting my services, hindi naman ako manhid para hindi masaktan dahil buong paniniwala ko, she got my services because she actually believed in me and it was a sincere offer. Tapos iba ang sinasabi niya ngayon.”

She added, “Saka hindi naman lahat ng artista may katapat na pera. Hindi po lahat ng artista ay mukhang pera.”

Whoa! What was Jamby thinking? She's already unpopular and now she just angered probably thousands of Judy Ann fans by what she said.

And we'd like to qoute what one of our friends said about Jamby, "She just ensured her defeat in the May 2020 elections whith what she did with Juday."

Agree?

ABS-CBN and GMA have different views on COMELEC's Fair Election Act

COMELEC has a ruling that urges celebrities who endorse a political candidate to take a leave or resign permanently from their tv programs.

The two giant networks have different views on this one. GMA sort of agrees while ABS-CBN believes that their talents are not exactly employees and so are exempted from the ruling.

GMA said:
"GMA Network is advising its talents that they have to take a leave of absence if they continue to campaign for or endorse candidates or political parties during the campaign period, even if the taping of their participation in the promotion or plug of the candidate was done before the campaign period.

"GMA Network's talents, who appeared in political ads or advocacy plugs before February 9, are advised to notify the candidates concerned or those responsible for placing these political plugs not to air them during the campaign period."
ABS-CBN said:
The call for ABS-CBN talents who endorse candidates to go on leave during the campaign period is not required by the Fair Election Act or its implementing rules and regulations. Section 36 of Comelec Resolution No. 8758 in relation to Section 1(4) thereof and the Fair Election Act merely requires that media practitioners such as talents “shall not use his/her time or space to favor any candidate.” In this regard, it is ABS-CBN’s policy that its talents may not use any program to endorse or promote any candidate. This policy is strictly enforced by the network.

The provision of law cited by the PPCRV and Comelec that requires media personalities to either resign or go on leave applies to employees only. Talents are not employees of the network and, therefore, the said provision does not apply to them.
Meanwhile, Kris Aquino also released her statement on this issue on pep:
"The Comelec wants artists who are actively participating in the campaign to take a leave or be jailed. Since when has it been wrong to make a stand for what you believe? What is so wrong in wanting to take an active role in our democratic process? If it's wrong to care about the Philippines & practice my constitutional rights to free speech & my freedom to vote then jail me and let's go back to the dark days of Martial Law!"
Wow. If COMELEC really pursues this rule, ABS-CBN will be more affected because most of their big stars are BIG PLAYERS in today's political arena such as Kris Aquino, Willie Revillame, Korina Sanchez, Boy Abunda, Sarah Geronimo and others.

Kris is now friends with Aljur and Kris because of Noynoy's campaign!

Wow. Looks like Kris Aquino is continuing to transcend network borders for Noynoy. After having Regine Velasquez, Ogie Alcasid, Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera for Noynoy's campaign, the Queen of all Media is now also communicating with GMA's hottest loveteam, Kris and Aljur.

After learning that the two were now members of Ayos Na, the youth arm of Noynoy's presidential campaign founded by Dingdong Dantes, Kris texted both Aljur and Kris. Here are their responses published on pep.ph:

Kris Bernal: "'Hello po. Pasensya na po nagti-taping po ako. Kinakabahan din po ako kaya hindi ko nasagot. Sobrang nahihiya po ako. Hehe. Pero wala po yun Ms. Kris. Kami pa nga po dapat ni Aljur ang dapat mag-thank you. Grateful po ako at naging part po ng Ayos Na. Nage-enjoy din po ako. Thanks po sa text Ms. Kris. Hope to meet you. God bless.'

Aljur Abrenica:"Tapos si Aljur: 'Ms. Kris sorry I missed your call. This is Aljur Abrenica po. It is my pleasure doing the youth advocacy in Davao sa pamumuno ni Kuya Dong. Marami pa raw po kaming gagawin sabi ni Kuya Dong. Maraming salamat po ulit sa text.'

To which Kris answered: "Sinabi ko, 'Sana ma-meet ko naman kayo dahil hindi ko pa kayo na-meet at hindi ninyo pa naman nami-meet si Noy.'"

We're not sure if KIMERALD is campaigning for Noynoy. Are they? Anyway, this is cool for us: stars being friends and having common goals despite their rivalry in showbiz.

Funny! It's good to know some people share our sentiments. :D

This photo was taken from facebook. Although we understand the point of his commercial's song, we still can't stop but ask; bakit ka naman maliligo sa dagat ng basura? bakit ka naman magpapasko sa gitna ng kalsada? Pwede naman sa gilid di ba? Kidding.

Err, we don't think someone has to be really poor in order to do something good for the poor. Right?

Sorry Senator and his supporters. We hope you will understand our sense of humor. :D

Bong Revilla: Hayden is lying!

Looks like Bong Revilla still hasn't moved on with his angst on Hayden. After rejoicing that Hayden's license was canceled by PRC, he's now claiming that Hayden's suicide story is a lie.

Here is his statement on Pep about Hayden's denial that he was found "wala sa sarili" in a pineapple plantation in Cavite:
"Idinenay ba ni Hayden? Sa madaling-salita,he's lying! Kausap ko yung provincial director ngayon lang at sinasabi niya na may nangyari na ganoong insidente. So,merong ganoong insidente at huwag niyang palabasin na sinungaling ang mga kababayan ko sa Cavite."
"Yun nga ang paiimbestigahan natin ngayon. Katulad ng nagkakaroon ng cover-up. Bakit, what for?"
"At kung wala naman dapat itago, bakit kailangan itago? Yun lang ang puntos natin diyan. Ako, nothing personal. Ako naman, naka-focus sa kaso ni Katrina Halili at yung mga nabiktima ni Hayden. This is a differnt case. Kumbaga, nothing personal sa pangyayari na 'to pero huwag naman nating gawing sinungaling yung mga tao na nandoon."
"Bakit kailangan nila na itago? According sa provincial director, totoong may ganoong insidente."
What's up with senator Bong? Comments please.

Is Noli de Castro planning a TV comeback?

Rumors are all around about our Vice-President taking a break from politics and going back to TV newscast! Nitz Miralles wirote in Pilipino Star Ngayon:
Are you thinking what we're thinking? Or are you thinking of someone else?

If ever, Noli de Castro will just strengthen ABS-CBN's news and current affairs if he does make a comeback.

GMA is running for Congresswoman of Pampanga!

On the government run radio station dzRB, GMA said:

"Gaya ng alam ninyo, hiniling rin ako ng mga mamayan ng aking tahanang distrito sa Pampanga na manatili sa buhay publiko (As you all know, the residents of Pampanga's second district have urged me to remain in public service)."

"After much soul-searching, I have decided to respond affirmatively to their call. To that end, I will file my (certificate of) candidacy for Congress in order to serve the hardworking people of my home province,"

"I am not ready to step down completely from public service."

Wow. That way, she has a chance to become a PRIME MINISTER when the Charter Change comes to effect. Maybe that is the REAL reason why she was so excited about the Cha-cha bill! Haha. Good luck to us Filipinos.

ABS-CBN makes pledge to donate 1 million pesos for Children of Massacred Journalists in Maguindanao

Nice move. We're really concerned about the lives of the families left behind by the victims of that DEMONIC massacre. Let's pray for them.

And may those politicians wasting so much money on annoying TV ads follow ABS-CBN's steps. We keep noticing that media and other private institutions seem to act faster than the government. Screw them.

What's the use of giving Efren Penaflorida millions of money if you keep ignoring his cause which is to give the Filipino children proper and free education? Damn those politicians who keep sucking up to people like Efren.

Agree?

Dingdong Dantes is a Super Busy Man!

He was just launched as the first ever celebrity endorser of National Bookstore. Aside from this, his show Stairway to Heaven will still go for two weeks and of course, his new show, Family Feud.

However, his hosting stint might be short lived because the TV ban for celebrities who will run for office in 2010 has been lifted. Meaning, Richard Gomez is free to go back to his show.

Dingdong was cool about it. He said on pep.ph, "anytime na, you know, magkaroon ng decision to revert back, sobrang okay lang sa akin. Willingly, I will back out and give it back.Klaro sa akin that [this] is a task handed down to me by the management. At klaro rin sa akin that I am a replacement of Richard Gomez and I can never fill the shoes of a Richard Gomez.Bukod sa iniidolo ko siya, it was such a huge task to come in especially [in] the middle of something at its peak."

Stay humble and you'll stay up there!

Celebrities release statements about Maguindanao Massacre; Heck, we're so devastated too!

Here are what some of today's celebrities comments about what happened in Maguindanao. All qoutes were taken from twitter.

Gibo Teodoro: "The two years and three months that I sacrificed as defense chief in fighting terrorism would be useless if I keep silent. The integrity of state institutions is at stake. I really don't care about politics at this point."
Bianca Gonzales: "black is the color of the day, to condemn the maguindanao massacre and to demand justice for its victims."
Pia Cayetano: "The people responsible for the killing must be held accountable. The Arroyo govt must not protect nor tolerate this even if they are allies."
Mar Roxas: "Lets pray PGMA finds the will to do what needs to be done. Even just this one time."
Anne Curtis: "Grabe my heart aches for the families and the victims of the massacre. I can't take it in. How can people be so heartless? =("
Regine Velasquez: "my heart goes 2D ordinary people, journalists,tv crews, all victimsof D mass killings, its time Pres Arroyo/giboteodoro make a strong stand"
TVpolice: Capture those people behind this demonic act and kill them using thousands of small needles dipped in alcohol! Or remove their clothes and let them lie on the hot manila streets, with their hands and feet padlocked for days without food and water until they die. And oh, maybe the police can send them to Cebu to become human lechons! Evil!

How about you? What can you say?

Bong Revilla has not moved on with his angst against Hayden Kho yet!

What has Hayden Kho ever done to him? Looks like Senator Bong Revilla is still mad with Hayden Kho.

In an interview with Morly Alinio in pinoyparazzi.com, the Senator said:
“Buti nga sa kanya, tama lang na tanggalan siya ng lisensiya dahil masyado niyang binaboy si Katrina, at sana maging magandang halimbawa ito sa iba pang kababayan natin na nag-iisip na gumawa ng tulad sa ‘di makataong ginawa ni Hayden Kho.”

Huh? What's with the bitterness, senator?

Chiz Escudero is NOT running for president!

Yes. He's no more running for presidnet. He said, "Akala ko madali magdesisyon, hindi pala. Hindi pala presidency at all cost kung lalamunin lang ako ng sistema. I decided not to run as president."

But one thing's for sure: He won't support Gibo Teodoro. Hmm.

NO! Edu Manzano is running for Vice-Pres for Gibo Teodoro!

Shocking! Pep.ph reports that in a press conference in Shangri-La Makati today, Ronaldo Puno announced that the former Optical Media Board (OMB) chairman will run as vice president under the administration's Lakas-Kampi-CMD ticket.

Puno even said, "The person who has accepted the challenge of standing beside Secretary Teodoro in the quest to become the next president of the Republic of the Philippines and the next vice president of the Republic of the Philippines, no other than former OMB chairman Edu Manzano."

Wow. That's one hell of a political surprise. We thought he was running for senator! What's left for Loren Legarda and Chiz Escudero? Weren't they the supposed choices for Gibo Teodoro's running mate?
