After months of speculation about his supposed "political plans", Wowowee main man finally and officially announced that he is NOT running for ANY government position come 2010 National elections.
He said in an interview with abs-cbn.com, “Ang hirap kasing magsilbi ng hindi bukal sa loob mo, dapat ready ka na for that. Mata mo lang walang latay diyan eh, kapag politician hindi ka naman pwedeng magpatawa at any day.”
He also credits Dolphy for his decision. He said, "Tama si Tito Dolphy. Kapag nanalo ka, ano ang gagawin mo? Dapat ready ka na, ngayon pa lang nagpi-prepare ka na dahil kapag nanalo ka, dapat ito ang gagawin ko, dapat open na ako (na) ito ang pera ko, hanggang sa single cent mo, alam ng tao. Talagang serbisyo."
But wait, he's not closing his doors on politics yet. He added, “Mayroong time for that kung hindi man ngayon maybe someday, after ilang years, pakikiramdaman ko muna kung gusto talaga ng tao ako tumakbo.”
Nice decision. Today's politics is just too dirty and screwed. He will waste his time and image if he does join the circus.
