Angel Locsin signs 2-year contract with ABS-CBN; says she learned a lot from the network!

Angel and abs-cbn fans are so gonna love this interview with Angel posted on abs-cbn.com.

On her career in ABS-CBN

“Dati hindi naman ako nakikilala bilang aktres ‘di ba? Parang ‘pag sa mga awards night hindi naman ako tinatawag. Pero dito, kahit papa’no natututo ako, mas nagiging serious ka sa craft mo. Actually mas minahal ko itong trabaho ko kaya nagpapasalamat ako.”

“Tuturuan ka din niyang maging patient talaga e. Kasi hindi naman laging kailangan nasa TV ka, exposed ka pero hindi naman ganon kagaganda yung project. Tsaka sayang lang yung gagawin mo. So ito (soap with John Lloyd Cruz), kahit na medyo matagal yung wait, okay lang kasi worth it talaga. Sobrang excited na ako magtrabaho ulit dahil ang ganda ng story, ang ganda ng makaka-partner ko kaya happy na ako talaga.”

On the project with John Lloyd

“Itong March start na dapat ang workshop. Ang daming kailangang paghandaan kasi hindi naman normal na acting lang ang gagawin namin. Basta may major twist kasi dito sa story na gagawin namin ni Lloydy. So kailangan ng workshop sa acting tapos training sa martial arts, harness, at kung anu-ano pang stunts na ire-request ng director namin.”

“Nag-iisip talaga ako kung papaano mae-enjoy ng mga bata yung character ko. Ganon ako ka-enjoy gawin ang action at fantasy. Pero ito, iba siya talaga kasi hindi lang siya basta fantasy-fantasy. Kailangan talaga niya ng ibang klaseng acting lalo na kung kaeksena mo si John Lloyd Cruz. Hindi ko pa masabi kasi e [yung details]. Tignan na lang natin. Basta ako excited ako. Hinintay ko si Lloydy ng isang taon para dito.”

Paulo Avelino replaces JC de Vera on Panday Kids!

For those who don't know him, he's one of the finalist of Starstruck 4. Anyway, this might be his biggest break ever. Thanks to JC de Vera's transfer to TV5.

Steven Silva and Sarah Lahbati are Starstruck's Ultimate Survivors!

Sarah averaged 94.6 percent while Steven had 93.5 percent. Diva scored 91.4 percent, Enzo got 90.2 percent, while Rocco had an average of 88.3 percent.

First Prince and Princess are Enzo Pineda and Diva Montelaba while Rocco Nacino was third runner-up.

Steven and Sarah each won 1.5 million pesos while the others got 200,000.

Jolina launches her own magazine called "Jolie"!

Whoa! She is now in the very short list of Filipino actresses with their own Magazine which only includes Kris Aquino and Sharon Cuneta.

Wow. This is a pretty ambitious project for Jolina. Here's the press release from igma.tv:

Inspired by the life and passion of multi-media artist and pop star Jolina Magdangal, Jolie was born to be the 21st century woman's lifestyle magazine. We're actually worried about this. Kris and Sharon's magazines are not really selling very well these days with the very big competition from local and international magazines. Is Jolina's stories and visions even as interesting as Kris' and Sharon's? And is Jolina's fashion and shopping articles as good as the ones from Preview, Mega and Metro? And lastly, will her features about celebrities and showbusiness be as good as the ones from Pep and Starstudio?

Frankly, how many Filipinos do you know will buy "Jolie"?

Erich signs up for Two movies under Star Cinema!

All those years of waiting are now paying off for ABS-CBN's latest primetime princess Erich Gonzales. Here is her latest K-text published in her facebook fan page:

Did you feel Jolina's comeback?

So Jolina has now returned to TV with a new look (Lady Gaga inspired?) and a new manager.

She said in an interview with John Lapuz on Showbiz Central, "Sabihin natin na ngayong 2010 ay maraming exciting ang mangyayari at makikita nilang Jolina sa TV. Sa lahat ng aspetong 'yon. Pagiging daring naman, e, hindi naman basta sa looks lang, di ba? Maraming bagay na daring na makikita ninyo sa isang Jolina ngayong 2010."

Is she going for more mature and sexier projects?

"Siguro parang it is about time kasi nagawa ko na lahat, e, at 'yon na lang hindi. Siguro marami na rin akong nagawa sa showbiz at alam ko na marami pa akong gustong gawin na iba sa nagawa ko dati."

Err. Jolina's reinvention is not really that hot since we've been seeing her with eccentric get-ups before. The sexier route? Uh-oh. We're not sure. She's not exactly hot but that will be interesting.

This girl needs career resuscitation. Her comeback on SOP had no effect what so ever to the ratings of the show.

Kris is now friends with Aljur and Kris because of Noynoy's campaign!

Wow. Looks like Kris Aquino is continuing to transcend network borders for Noynoy. After having Regine Velasquez, Ogie Alcasid, Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera for Noynoy's campaign, the Queen of all Media is now also communicating with GMA's hottest loveteam, Kris and Aljur.

After learning that the two were now members of Ayos Na, the youth arm of Noynoy's presidential campaign founded by Dingdong Dantes, Kris texted both Aljur and Kris. Here are their responses published on pep.ph:

Kris Bernal: "'Hello po. Pasensya na po nagti-taping po ako. Kinakabahan din po ako kaya hindi ko nasagot. Sobrang nahihiya po ako. Hehe. Pero wala po yun Ms. Kris. Kami pa nga po dapat ni Aljur ang dapat mag-thank you. Grateful po ako at naging part po ng Ayos Na. Nage-enjoy din po ako. Thanks po sa text Ms. Kris. Hope to meet you. God bless.'

To which Kris answered: "Sinabi ko, 'Sana ma-meet ko naman kayo dahil hindi ko pa kayo na-meet at hindi ninyo pa naman nami-meet si Noy.'"

We're not sure if KIMERALD is campaigning for Noynoy. Are they? Anyway, this is cool for us: stars being friends and having common goals despite their rivalry in showbiz.

Aljur Abrenica has started recording his first album; Will it be another flop or a possible hit?

Yes. GMA's prince is planning to jump start his singing career through his first album. He said on pep.ph: "Nagre-recording na ako, nag-start na kami. May mga revivals, tapos medyo alternative siya; four revivals, anim na original. Meron din akong mga sariling composition. Si Arnel Pineda [lead vocalist of Journey], hinihingan namin ng kanta, pag-uusapan pa. Hindi pa rin namin napapag-usapan yung title pati yung carrier single."

Err. we're not sure about this. He's not really well-known for his singing talent. His last movie was a big flop. His latest soap, The Last Prince can't even maintain a respectable lead over its ABS-CBN counterpart in Mega Manila. It's even doing worse in the National ratings.

What we think? Aljur is only hot because he IS HOT. As in physically. If that hotness will entice people to buy his album, we don't know.

GMA's newest loveteam Paulo and Jennica; Will it work?

GMA is building up another new loveteam. This time, they are paring up Paulo Avelino and Jennica Garcia. Jennica is of course the daughter of Jean Garcia while Paulo is a Starstruck 4 avenger. Pep.ph posted an interview about Paolo's feelings for Jennica.

Paulo said in the interview, "Aaminin ko na na-attract ako kay Jennica noong mga panahon na 'yon. Maganda siya and she's very mabait. Kaya sino ba namang lalake ang hindi magpu-fall for Jennica, di ba? That time naman kasi, matagal na silang wala ni Mart [Escudero, Paulo's batchmate in StarStruck] kaya mukhang okey naman siguro kung manligaw ako."

"Pero may mga pangyayari nga that prevented me from pursuing Jennica. So I decided na huwag nang ituloy ang panliligaw ko kay Jennica. Out of respect na lang sa nakapaligid sa amin. But kami naman ni Jen, we're okay and we're friends naman. Hindi naman siguro siya papayag na maka-partner ako kung hindi kami okey."

The two will be the lead stars of GMA's afternoon soap, Ina, Kasusuklaman Ba Kita? together with Jean garcia.

They look good together but the question is, Ikaw, Gugustuhin Mo Ba Sila?

Contrary to rumors circulating on the internet, GMA's biggest star, Marian Rivera is not transferring to ABS-CBN. It is also NOT TRUE that Endless Love is her last project in the Kapuso Network.

Paano Na Kaya Trailer: We love Melissa and Robi!

We were pleasantly surdprised with the roles of Robi Domingo and Melissa Ricks in this Kimerald movie. This will be one of the reasons for us to see Paano na Kaya. We think this is Robi's first movie and he deserves it. He's so cute and so is Melissa. She's become more beautiful lately.

SOP Cover Girls: You like?

They are Carla Abellana, Lovi Poe, Heart Evangelista, Bianca King and Glaiza de Castro. They're all sexy and beautiful. In fact some of them can really sing. But do you like them?

We think for comparison's sake, they can be pitted against ASAP's It Girls consisting of Bea Alonzo, Anne Curtis, Maja Salvador, Iya Villania, and Shaina Magdayao.

Now this will be some fierce competition since ASAP's It Girls have good girl images thanks to their bida roles while most some of the SOP Cover Girls have bad girl mode due to their kontrabida roles. Bea Alonzo and Anne Curtis are also bigger stars than the Cover Girls.

Since they are still starting, let's give the SOP Cover Girls a chance. We think they have what it takes to be as good and even better than the It Girls. They should do away with the lip synching though. That way, they will have a big advantage over ASAP's forever lip synching It Girls.

However, they need to level up on poise, projection, energy and stage presence. These are the strengths of the It Girls.

Did you catch Erich's interview with Big Utol on PBB last night? Impressive.

The cast of Tanging Yaman including most of the staff went inside the PBB House to shoot a scene. Matt, Erich, Ejay, Melissa, and Enchong surprised the housemates when they entered the house.

One memorable scene was when Big Utol played a joke on Erich telling her that she is already one of the housemates. In order to get out of the house, Big Utol ordered Erich to cry and laugh simultaneously. Erich was very game and whoa! She was able to do it very fast! It's like she could tell her eyes to cry whenever she wants. Amazing!

This girl must have had real good training and we think she deserves the breaks that are coming her way.

Bangs Garcia's biggest television break ever is coming. After being casted for support roles in such TV shows like Palos, Kambal sa Uma, Katorse and others, she now has her very own teleserye, Magkano Ang Iyong Dangal.

But there is more to it than just that. As many people know, Magkano Ang Iyong Dangal was originally a project for Roxanne Guinoo. And it's not a secret either that the two had a misunderstanding before.

Bangs says she has not yet talked to Roxanne but she's happy for the project given to her. We can't imagine how much pressure this girl must have on her shoulders right now. Her show must be as successful as the recent and previous ABS-CBN dramas. Can Bangs do it?

Our not so favorite teen actress reacts on some issues about her beauty and her 'thing' with Aljur on pep.ph. Sorry Kris Bernal fans but she's not good with interviews. She needs a tutor right now!

On her 'new' face being the product of collagen treatment:
"Sabi nga nagpa-collagen daw ako. Ano bang ginawa ko sa mukha ko? Wala nga, e. Ang weird po ng mga tao. Pero kahit ako, nawi-weirduhan din ako na pag pumayat pala ako, ganito pala ang hitsura ko, iba pala hitsura ko. Dahil lang po ito sa pagpayat ko. Hindi po ako collagen beauty! Angel Locsin stays HOT!

Contrary to what many of her detractors said a few years ago when she transferred to ABS-CBN, Angel Locsin is not yet LAOS. In fact, compared to many of today's stars, she's still one of the most talked about and she has been getting big projects. Not only for her projects, but also of her lovelife and social work. Her acting skills has even been noticed internationally.

We remember the many bitter remarks made by people who didn't like her transfer. And we like to think Angel has proven herself. And right now with the way her career is going, she's probably thinking, "Who's laughing now?"

Kris Aquino will still do Pilipinas Got Talent; She now has FOUR shows on ABS-CBN!

She will be juding alongside ABS-CBN's past president Freddi Garcia. Pilipinas Got Talent is now her fourth show in the Kapamilya network. She already has Kung Tayo'y Magkakalayo, The Buzz, and SNN. She also has a magazine to her name.

The Queen of All Media shared that she will to be sweet while staying honest in her judging.

Kris and Aljur give reasons for people to watch "The Last Prince"; Will you be convinced?

Igma.tv posted an article about the four reasons to watch GMA's self-proclaimed "Royal Teen Couple of Primetime". Interested?

Aljur said: "Iba't-ibang stories po ng faery tales ang makikita nila sa The Last Prince. That's number one. Number two is the costumes, and number three is the effects. "

The fourth reason? The website claims it's the changes in Kris Bernal.

Kris said: "Ngayon mas gusto nila 'yung may konting sensual sa akin. Like, pag nagsasalita ako, gusto ni Direk [Mac Alejandre] may hangin. 'yung may konting sexy?
