New TV Shows from TV5: Will you watch them?
Here are the upcoming shows from the country's fastest-rising TV network:
1. Paolo Bediones will host a primetime newscast show on TV5 which will be CNN-like but in Tagalog starting March 25. He will also host USI (Under Special Investigation) every Sunday at 5:30 p.m. starting March 15.
2.“5-Star Drama Specila Presents, The Diamond Star” featuring Maricel Soriano will air on March 22. The show will have comedy, drama and horror episodes. It will be pitted against the primetime shows of ABS-CBN and GMA.
3. Papparazzi hosted by Ruffa Gutierrez, DJ Mo Twister and Cristy Fermin will also be launched on April 4 but will not be matched with The Buzz or Showbiz Central. It may be shown in an earlier time.
4. Dolphy's “Mga Kuwento ni Mang Pidol” will also be aired soon on TV5 at a still unrevealed timeslot. It will be a sitcom with a twist.
Hmm. It will take a long time for TV5 to be able to compete really well with the primetime shows, News and Current Events or the Sunday Talk shows of ABS-CBN and GMA. They will do much better by coming up with really great shows and putting them in timeslots where the two networks are weak like Saturday afternoon (old FPJ films and Wish Ko Lang can easily be defeated by a fun new show).

TV5's New Station ID starts shoot tomorrow!
It will feature all the stars, old and new, of the emerging TV network. We're excited! With all those transferring rumors, the station ID will show us who REALLY are the new stars of TV5!

Ruffa Gutierrez and JC De Vera to transfer to TV5!
TV5 will have two HOT stars coming in! Ruffe Gutierrez' transfer to the TV network owned by Manny V. Pangilinan is already confirmed. She was offered a very handsome deal which abs-cbn did not try to compete with.
Meanwhile, here's a tweet from pep.ph about JC de Vera:
JC de Vera is reportedly exiting Panday Kids soon dahil may gagawin daw siyang drama series sa TV5.We don't know why but we're excited for TV5! We hope it'll be able to offer great shows so we'll have more options to choose from!

Toni was also offered a show on TV5!
Yes, but she turned it down. Reyma Buan-Deveza of abs-cbnNEWS.com had an interview withthe actress/host and here's how it went:
What if she is offered another show on TV5?
"Nandoon na ‘yong kapatid ko. Sa kanya na i-offer. At marami pang season and PBB (Pinoy Big Brother), sayang naman kung iiwan ko."
Is she still happy with ABS-CBN?
"Sa ngayon masayang masaya po ako as Kapamilya. I've been a Kapamilya for 5 years now and so far wala akong regret."
We think it would be a good idea for TV5 to build up young actors and actresses who have great talent and looks but are not getting enough attention from their home networks such as Neri Naig, Tyrone Perez, Joseph Bitangcol, Railey Valeroso and many others.

TV5 to be re-launched in April!
The TV station has been bought by Manny Pangilinan and he is planning to make TV5 one of the biggest TV networks in the country.
There are also rumors that many stars from both Kapamilya and Kapuso networks are being offered lots of money just to transfer to the TV5 family.
We are excited about this. There'll be more alternatives for us to choose from!

Eat Bulaga to be transferred to TV5?
With the powerful Manny Pangilinan now managing TV5 and Vic Sotto and Joey de Leon already having shows there, rumors have come up about TAPE (the show's producer) not signing another contract with GMA7.
Thus, Eat Bulaga will now be transferred to TV5! That move would totally change the Daytime landscape. Long time Mega Manila leader Eat Bulaga will be a HUGE loss for GMA if ever especially now that ABS-CBN has a very strong show "Showtime" that GMA is unable to beat.
This issue is not yet confirmed but if it will push through (we think GMA will never let it happen), it will a BIG surprise for all of us.

Paolo Bediones leaves GMA, becomes first exclusive TV5 talent!
He has formally left the Kapuso station to be the first ever EXCLUSIVE star of TV5.
TV5 is making news because of the awards received during the Star Awards for TV 2009, it's being the first high definition TV channel in the Philippines and its plans to produce movies.
We look forward to more of TV5 and Paolo Bediones. He said on pep, "Ultimately, what made me decided was that the offer of TV5 included a position in management. 'Yon ang gusto natin talaga—ang maging instrumento sa pagbabago ng industriya natin, mayroon tayong ide-develop na mga talent, mayroon din tayong mga shows na iko-conceptualize din. 'Yon talaga ang nagpa-decide sa akin."
"After the [Survivor Philippines: Palau] finale, nag-iisip na talaga ako, 'What's gonna happen to me what do I wanna do?' Then, TV5 came with a very fresh offer nga, 'yon nga, a management position and opportunity to do things I've never done in my life."
Good luck! It would be nice to have a challenger for the two giant TV stations we have today.
