But why is her movie TAROT such a big FLOP?
Well, there's no real data about the movies earnings. But that's the problem. Box-office hit movies release news of their earnings in the first day or the first week. But after how many weeks after it was shown. there is still NO NEWS about tarot's income.
And accoring to shelu89.blogspot.com, "Well, according to some reliable sources, Tarot has been a first day-last day movie in some cinemas, meaning it premiered today and closed the next day."
Is this what GMA's biggest star can do? So sad.

ReplyDeletenapanood ko ung movie na to.im not a marian fan nor a kapuso or kapamilya. but i like the movie.its really nice. youve got to give it a chance.forget the hateness towrds the artist because its really a good movie.thats y its rated A and it realy deserve that rating.it doesnt matter if its flop or not.because its realy good.

i wonder kung sinong mas malaki nang talent fee Marian or Kim Chiu? kasi i've heard Kim Chiu donated 150K pesos and Marian donated 100k pesos. Sya pinaka popular sa GMA, pero bakit mga movies di kumikita? Sana naman yung mga fans nya, sana supurtahan sya, sa mga projects nya.

Unlike ABS stars, un mga fans nyan may purchasing power kaya pede nila suportahan mga idols nila! Yan and ABS, may class! And most trusted, example lang eh un Sagip Kapamilya nila! It keeps on receiving millions of millions of donations. Unlike GMA, hirap maka-likom ng donations! Mga poor kase followers nila! Haaay naku, no offence meant sa inyo, mga Kapuso! just telling the truth... Lol!

She is always in the list of top individual taxpayers, from 2008-2010 (as of this time, 2011 tax period has not been released)...the only channel 2 talent to rank higher are Kris Aquino, Sarah Geronimo and Piolo Pascual. The rest...Marian tops them. She out-earned John Llyod, Kim Chiu, Jericho, KC Concepcion, etc. Angel Locsin is not even on the list, from 2008-2010. Marian has starred in 3 films to gross more than 100Million, and she is still one of the preferred Regal baby...with another movie on the way with Coco Martin..Bong Revilla's only pick to star opposite him for Panday 2 was Marian Rivera...and Kris Aquino herself has requested to GMA films that she would like to work with Marian Rivera for her next film (hopefully 2012).
