We loved Starstruck 1 which is actually the most successful reality star search ever in the Philippines. It produced some of the biggest starlets today. Cristine Reyes, Jennylyn Mercado and Katrina Halili.
But the succeeding batches of this talent search were easily forgettable and none of them really made it big in Pinoy showbiz.
Even Kris Bernal and Aljur Abrenica, the biggest products of the last season have been doing badly both in their primetime show and movie.
Tip: Follow ABS-CBN's lead. LOOKS should come with TALENT. True, Starstruck contestants are often HOT but their lack of talent makes them seem like shooting stars. You know what we mean.

whoa. i definitely agree. the past batches of starstruck have been really unpopular. i hope GMA does better this time.

ReplyDeletewould you beleived na ang sinasabi mong ALjur and Kris ..na ang Tv Series are not rating had the most number of commercial Loads.. Come to think when it was airing..it has a commercial Loads of 45 commercials.. I ahve a list to vouch for it.. Thinking about that..which means millions of money had been bringing to GMA..coz every commercial load costs 300,000...and to have 45 commercial loads every air time costs ..13, 500,000. Come to think of it ...every air time it has 20 commercial laods.. now do their counterparts has that commercial loads
ReplyDeleteI dont think it's all about commercial loads; do they even have their OWN commercials (individual or together)? I mean, yeah gma is earning but seriously, hindi po talaga patok sa masa sina aljur and kris...not as much anyway. They had the chance to prove it with their movie debut pero hindi kumita e. Though there was the typhoon that unfortunately hit the phils (which could be a main reason). But, well there's always a next time...
