So Jolina has now returned to TV with a new look (Lady Gaga inspired?) and a new manager.
She said in an interview with John Lapuz on Showbiz Central, "Sabihin natin na ngayong 2010 ay maraming exciting ang mangyayari at makikita nilang Jolina sa TV. Sa lahat ng aspetong 'yon. Pagiging daring naman, e, hindi naman basta sa looks lang, di ba? Maraming bagay na daring na makikita ninyo sa isang Jolina ngayong 2010."
Is she going for more mature and sexier projects?
"Siguro parang it is about time kasi nagawa ko na lahat, e, at 'yon na lang hindi. Siguro marami na rin akong nagawa sa showbiz at alam ko na marami pa akong gustong gawin na iba sa nagawa ko dati."
Err. Jolina's reinvention is not really that hot since we've been seeing her with eccentric get-ups before. The sexier route? Uh-oh. We're not sure. She's not exactly hot but that will be interesting.
This girl needs career resuscitation. Her comeback on SOP had no effect what so ever to the ratings of the show.

What Jolina could have done to re-invent herself, my suggestions:
ReplyDelete1. get herself a real stylist! not a lady gaga wannabee for a lady past 30 is just way off
2. Hire a vocal coach to widen the range of her voice
3. Seek a self help guru, so she can really identify what she wants to project. not to transform into a clown
I would have been happy, if she came out with a more classy outfit plus a more mature taste in her music.

To the one who commented first saying we're Pokwang inspired, well, suck it up. Right now, Pokwang is way hotter than Jolina and many other stars out there. And why are you so concentrated on the physical aspects of people? Hmm. That's sad. Can't you see, even with that look, Pokwang is earning more than you do and is a lot more popular than you.

OH-EM-GE talaga, mas maganda pa yata si madam auring eh.. hahayy... yup, its true, sometimes you must accept d fact na darating ang araw, malalaos rin ang artista, better to show up nalang sana w/ more mature image na babagay sa edad niya, hindi ung pilit pang gawing bagets ang looks kahit marami nang kulubot. sad to say, parang hahabol si clau sa posisyon niya. si hero kung di lang sana masyadong nagmamagaling ang manager na kuya niya, cguro sikat pa siya ngayon. sayang, product pa naman siya ng artista search at talagang deserving manalo.

alam niyo kung sa ABS-CBN lang yang si jolens eh mas maganda siguro yung repackage niya as a star. magaling mag-alaga ang ABS-CBN. minsan talaga natatagalan ang isang artista na magka-project sa abs like jlc, bea, angel, vhong. pero sureball SIKAT naman! yung talagang pinag-uusapan. sa gma, tuloy2 nga projects pero di naman sikat. parang wala rin!

ReplyDeletesi jolina pag usapan sya nasa topic wag n mandamay ng ibang tao...mga ampalaya!...well wala ng kinang si jolens marami ng fashionista sa showbiz and yung fashion style nya d na mabenta..pang comedy at ptweetums lang sya khit maghubad sya parang comedy p din walang dating..kung ako sa kanya asikasuhin ko nlang negosyo ko at mananahimik ako sa bahay..wag ng ipilit laos n talaga sya!..
